Two men and one woman were put behind bars on Tuesday after Narcotics officers and the Special Ops unit raided a suspect's house.
The San Angelo Police Department Narcotics Division obtained a search and arrest warrant for 27-year-old Jon Escobedo and his residence located in the 2000 block of Raney on May 12. Escobedo was located driving in the area and a traffic stop was made on the vehicle by members of the Special Operations unit. Angel Enriquez, 26, was also in the vehicle. Enriquez was found to be in possession of approximately 26 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.
During the execution of the search warrant at Escobedo’s residence,26-year-old Andrea Pedroza was located inside. During the search of the residence a quantity of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located as well as an assault rifle.
All three suspects were transported to the Tom Green County Jail. Escobedo was charged with possession of a controlled substance less than one gram and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Pedroza was charged with possession of a controlled substance less than one gram and warrants. Enriquez was charged with possession of a controlled substance greater than four grams but less than 200 grams and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
Three others were jailed on Monday for possession of a controlled substance, joined by three charged with marijuana posession and one accused of fraud with a prescription for a controlled substance. Forty-six total were jailed on Tuesday, 35 of which were booked on warrants that included those for drug possession, theft and assault. A final individual, 24-year-old Michael Jarell Connor, was picked up on a county warrant for sexual assault of a child.
Thirty-six individuals were released from the jail on Tuesday.
