Over 200 participants from around West Texas joined the West Texas Energy Consortium (WTxEC or Consortium) on May 6 and 7 in San Angelo.
The conference featured two days of networking, training, and education. Consortium programs are made possible by the collaboration of three regional workforce development boards in Concho Valley, Permian Basin, and West Central Texas.
This unique initiative includes 49 counties and has been recognized statewide for making significant achievements in workforce training through regional cooperation. Topics at this year’s event covered: rail expansion, oilfield emergency management, community and economic development, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) initiatives, water technology, energy industry trends, and more.
Conference materials, including speaker presentations, will be available soon at www.WTxEC.org.
