SAN ANGELO, TX – Less than 4% of Tom Green County voters cast ballots in early voting for the Primary Runoff Election.
According to the Tom Green County Elections Office, 2,533 votes were cast during early voting. Those votes will be counted first when the polls close at 7 p.m. today.
Typically, around 50% of votes are cast during early voting. That means total numbers should be around the 5,000 mark. In Tom Green County there are approximately 70,000 registered voters.
As of 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning there were nearly 800 votes cast on Election Day.
In the primary election in Mar. there were 11,094 votes cast in the Tom Green County judge race.
