Jail Bookings Low on Wednesday

Sixteen individuals were put behind bars on Wednesday, half of which were were booked on warrants, the other half booked on offenses alleged to have occurred within the last 24 hours. Of those booked, eight were men and eight were women. 

Each of the four women were jailed on different charges, including one for possession, one for pot, one for assault and one for DWI. One man was also picked up for assault. 

Of the warrant arrests, 22-year-old Ivan Degerardo Sosa was picked up on a Reagan County warrant for sexual assault of a child, the third man jailed for child crimes this week. Others were wanted for burglary, theft and miscellanous capias warrants and traffic offenses.

Twenty-six were released on Wednesday.
