HOLLYWOOD – Hulu and 20th Century Fox released the trailer for their new entry into the Predator franchise.
According to information from the movie studio, the hunt is on in “Prey” which will follow Naru, a young Comanche woman who is a highly skilled warrior. Raised by some of the greatest hunters on the Great Plains, Naru protects her camp when the prey she is hunting turns out to be a highly advanced Predator.
Prey is helmed by Dan Trachtenberg, who directed 10 Cloverfield Lane and will tell the prequel story of the first time a Predator came to Earth.
The director and producers committed on this film to provide as accurate portrayal of the Comanche as possible and bring authenticity to the front. Producer Jhane Myers is a member of the Comanche Nation and is known for her attention to films about the Comanche and Blackfeet nations. That being said, “Prey” will feature near elusively Native and First Nation talent such as Amber Midthunder as Naru, Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush, and Julian Black Antelope.
