A 26-year-old man was killed just north of Snyder on U.S. 84, the Texas DPS reported.
Saturday at 11:14 p.m., DPS and emergency personnel responded to the crash scene where the found a 1999 Lexus sedan facing south in the median of the highway. DPS reported that for an unspecified reason, the eastbound driver ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, and his car was facing south when DPS arrived.
The road was wet and the posted speed limit along that stretch of US 84 is 75 mph, DPS reported.
The driver, Dustin Lynn Heady, 25, of Stephenville, was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Ricki Webb. The crash happened three miles north of Snyder.
