SAN ANGELO, TX – Officers for the Boys & Girls Club of San Angelo were installed at the Club’s Annual Meeting & Banquet Thursday evening at Bentwood Country Club.
Serving as 2022 Officers will be President Kathy Powell-Stewart, Vice President Niki Taylor, Treasurer Rosie Castaneda, and Secretary Felicitee Jones. Felicia Lindsey, Christine Russell, Lynn Shipley, Allison Walker-Alred, Charles “Blue” Flores, Heather Kumpe, Scott Creecy, and Anna Reyna were all installed as Board Directors.
Awards were also presented to members of the community that have shown great support to the club’s mission over the last year.
The C.A.R.E Award was presented to Atmos Energy and Strategic Business Solutions. The C.A.R.E. award is presented to an individual or organization for their exceptional support of the youth of San Angelo and Tom Green County.
The Be Great Award was presented to HEB. The Be Great award is presented to an organization, entity
or company that assists Club staff to achieve the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of San Angelo.
The Man & Youth and Woman & Youth Award was presented to Lynn Shipley and Niki Taylor. This award is presented to someone who through effort and deed shows commitment to the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of San Angelo.
Service to Youth Awards were presented to Kathy Powell-Steward, Felicitee Jones, Felicia Lindsay and Christine Russell for serving 5 years on the Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors. Michael Bejil, Unit
Director, was also recognized for 15 years dedicated service with the Boys & Girls Club of San Angelo.
Tiffany Parker, CEO, was recognized for 20 years of service with the Boys & Girls Club organization.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of San Angelo offers young people what they need and want most: adults who respect and listen to them; a safe environment where they can have fun and be themselves; and interesting, constructive activities that channel youthful energy into challenging pursuits.
