Car Shot up in North San Angelo, Deadly Conduct Investigation Ensues

A car was shot-up in the Nueva Vista parking lot on Tueday night, where numerous witnesses and bystanders reported to police they'd heard several rounds fired at around 11 p.m.

Police responded to the complex at 2401 N. Lillie to find a chaotic scene, and witnesses directed officers to a vehicle punctured by at least six bullets of an unknown caliber in the sides and windshield.

After locating the owner of the vehicle, officers learned that she had been involved in an altercation with a male visitor, who had since left the apartment. The woman told police that shortly after her friend left she heard the shots, but did not check on the source of the gunfire and was unaware of the damage to her vehicle until informed of it by police.

The suspect was identified as a Hispanic male, approximately 32 years old, 5’5”, 125 lbs (name withheld pending investigation).  The suspect was not located at the scene of the incident.  Police Canine were called to the area but were unable to determine a suitable track in order to locate the suspect.  No one was injured during this incident.

The case was referred to the SAPD detective division for further investigation. It has been labeled an assault/deadly conduct case.
