Local Elected Officials Running Unopposed in the GOP Primary

 

SAN ANGELO – Tom Green County residents for months have been inundated with information about local candidates running for office in the March 1, 2022 Republican Primary election.  

Dozens of individuals have written exclusively to San Angelo LIVE! endorsing and supporting various candidates for office.  

The editorial team at San Angelo LIVE! has chosen to remain neutral on all contested races on the primary ballot.  

The following elected officials are running unopposed for re-election in the GOP Primary.  

  • August Pfluger, Congressman, TX CD11
  • Charles Perry, State Senator, SD28
  • Drew Darby, State Representative, HD72
  • Ben Nolen, Tom Green County Court at Law #1 Judge
  • Anthony Monico, District Clerk
  • Dianna M. Spieker, Tom Green County Treasurer
  • Sammy Farmer, Tom Green County Commissioner, Pct.2
  • Eddie Howard, Tom Green County Justice of the Peace, Pct.4
  • Bruce Burkett, Tom Green County Republican Party Chair

 

There are no current Democratic elected officials representing Tom Green County in office running for re-election.  

Election Day is Tuesday, March 1, 2022.  There will be 20 polling locations open in Tom Green County.
