SAN ANGELO – San Angelo attorney and former prosecutor Tiffany Sheppard has endorsed Christina Ubando for Tom Green County Clerk. Ubando was appointed County Clerk by the Commissioner's Court to fill an unexpired term when Liz McGill retired.
Ubando is running for a full term as a Republican candidate in the March 1, GOP Primary.
Here is Sheppard's letter endorsing Ubando:
"To the Citizens of Tom Green County:
It is my honor to endorse Christina Ubando for County Clerk. I've had the opportunity to work with Christina since January 2014 when I began my career as a Prosecutor in the Tom Green County Attorney's Office. At the time, Christina was one of the clerks for Judge Penny Roberts, County Court at Law #2. I was immediately impressed by her knowledge of her duties and her ability to juggle multiple Clerk obligations, while simultaneously responding to attorneys, a Bailiff, and a Presiding Judge. I worked daily in court with Christina and came to know her work ethic well. I remained friends with Christina and while in private practice, I had the pleasure of watching her be appointed as the County Clerk, by the Tom Green County Commissioners in 2021. Since that time, she has proven her dedication to the office by working on employment retention and training, customer service and streamlining forms and processes for the customers and constituents of the office.
Christina Ubando has dedicated the last ten years to the Tom Green County Clerk's Office and navigated her way to the prestigious position of County Clerk. She remains current on the evolving laws of the State of Texas concerning her office by exceeding her required hours of continuing education. Further, Christina Ubando strives to serve all residents of Tom Green County by appreciating the intricacies of her position and the necessity of working for each individual constituent.
She is the right choice to continue as the Tom Green County Clerk.
I hope you will join me in supporting, my friend and most qualified candidate, Christina Ubando, by voting to keep Christina Ubando on March 1, 2022.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Sheppard
Attorney at Law"
