San Angelo Attorney & Former Prosecutor Endorses Speck for Justice of the Peace

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Live is encouraging and accepting letters to the editor endorsing local candidates for office in the March 1, 2022 Republican Primary.

Tiffany Sheppard is a San Angelo attorney and has served as a prosecutor.  The following is her letter to the editor endorsing Stacye Speck for Tom Green County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3.

To the Citizens of Tom Green County, Precinct #3:

It is my distinct honor to endorse Lt. Stacye Speck for Justice of the Peace Pct. #3.  I've had the privilege of working closely with Lt. Stacye Speck since January 2014 when I began my career as a prosecutor in the Tom Green County Attorney's Office.  Immediately, I realized Lt. Speck's drive and dedication to the citizens of Tom Green County. I quickly became dear friends with Lt. Speck and had the pleasure of watching her flourish in her position of leadership with our Tom Green County Sheriff's Office under the command of the late Sheriff David Jones and currently, under the command of Sheriff Nick Hanna.  I continued to work closely with Lt. Speck as I furthered my career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Tom Green County District Attorney's Office, and have stayed close friends and have stayed close friends with Lt. Speck after going into private practice.

Lt. Speck is a perfect illustration of a public servant and sincerely desires the best for our community.  She prides herself on following the letter of the law and ensuring that justice is afforded to every citizen in our community – regardless of race, creed, or color.  Lt. Speck has served our community for over 27 years at the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office with 25 of those years in supervisory positions.  She has served our county in a multitude of roles: Jailer, Jail Sergeant, Deputy, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, and currently as Patrol Lieutenant.  She has fought tirelessly over the span of her professional career to protect our community and ensure a safe haven for our children and generations to come.

She is the right choice for Justice of the Peace, Pct. #3.  Lt. Stacye Speck has the right experience that this position demands and and most importantly, Lt. Stacye Speck is the fair justice you can count on.

I hope you will join me in supporting my friend and most qualified candidate Lt. Stacye Speck by voting for Lt. Stacy Speck on March 1, 2022.

Sincerely,

Tiffany Sheppard
