Fire Marshal: Person of Interest Identified in Glenn Middle School Bomb Threat

 

Fire Marshal Ross Coleman said that his team of  investigators have identified a person of interest who was responsible for a bomb threat at a San Angelo junior high school late this morning.

According to the San Angelo ISD, from 11:25 a.m. to noon, all doors except the main entrance to Glenn Middle School were locked while restrooms were searched due to a bomb threat. The San Angelo Police Department and the San Angelo Fire Marshal's office responded quickly to the threat and determined the restrooms to be clear. Students remained safe and the school day was minimally interrupted.

The San Angelo ISD said that the response to the bomb threat went according to contingency plans in place.

Coleman said that once the investigation is complete, there will be more information released if applicable. He said that currently the person of interest is in custody and being interviewed by investigators.
