SAN ANGELO, TX – The getaway driver in the 2019 Red Roof Inn Murder will face no prison time after taking a plea deal on Wednesday.
According to court documents, on Dec. 29 at 8:30 a.m., Jennifer Badillo, her lawyer Randal Stout, District Attorney Allison Palmer, and 391st Judge Brad Goodwin met via zoom to finalize a plea deal between the state and Badillo.

During the hearing, Badillo and the District Attorney's Office agreed to a deal. In the deal Badillo pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery, instead of murder, in exchange for ten years deferred adjudication probation and a $10,000 fine.
Badillo is the last suspect involved in the murder to see their day in court. The gunmen, Daniel Diaz and Jessie Robinson Jr., also pleaded guilty to the murder. Diaz was sentenced to 20 years in prison and Robinson was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
In multiple reports, the two admitted that the murder happened during a methamphetamine deal gone wrong. Diaz and Robinson were residents of Ballinger while Badillo was a resident of Abilene.
