San Angelo Felon Indicted for Ramming His Car into Another Vehicle

 

SAN ANGELO, TX- A San Angelo man has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury for 3 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he intentionally rammed another vehicle with his own.

On May 25, 2021, a San Angelo police officer informed investigators that he responded to Nueva Vista Apartments, located at 2401 Lillie Street, regarding a domestic disturbance.

The officer met with the victim who said that Donavan Elijah Guzman rammed her vehicle at a high rate of speed.

The victim informed the investigator that she and Guzman had gotten into a verbal argument earlier and while she was trying to leave the apartments, Guzman struck her Chevy Tahoe with his Honda Civic, which he then abandoned after the incident. Inside the Chevy Tahoe were the victim’s two juvenile children.

Donavan Elijah Guzman was booked into the TGCDF on August 3, 2021, is currently and inmate, and has a $50,000.00 bond.

Donavan Guzman had been charged in May of 2015 with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Due to already having been charged with this felony, the 3 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon he faces now have been enhanced to 1st degree felonies. If Guzman is convicted, he faces 5 to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
