MENARD, TX – A suspected criminal being transferred through Menard county escaped and is now on the run.
According to the Menard County Sheriff's Office, on Dec. 14, a suspect in custody, from an out of county agency, escaped from apprehension.
The suspect was last seen near the Tres Amigos on Gay St.
The man is 5'9", around 170 lbs, and is wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans.
The MCSO is urging citizens to lock their homes and vehicle.If you see this subject contact the Menard County Sheriff's Office at 325-396-4705.
UPDATE Dec. 14, 2:56 P.M.
"Scurry County Transport unit had an inmate escape from custody. Aries Alexus Rogers, white male 5ft 9inch, 167lbs, light brown hair in bun on top of head, wearing multi-colored shirt, mostly yellow. Subject ran from Tres Amigos last seen on Gay Street. If you see this subject call 911 do not confront," per a statement from the MCSO
UPDATE Dec. 14, 10:00 a.m.
The suspect has been captured and is now in custody.
