Concho Valley PAWS Shut Down Due to Widespread Illness

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Concho Valley PAWS announced on Thursday that they have temporarily closed their facilities.

"We are currently unable to facilitate adoptions for pets residing at the shelter due to an unknown and widespread illness," stated the press release. "We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding."

PAWS confirmed that veterinarians are currently working on finding what exactly the illness is and will send out updates once information is obtained.

The most common illness outbreaks in animal shelters are canine distemper virus, canine pneumovirus, and canine influenza virus.
