Driver Flees Scene of Bizarre Crash on US 277

 

SONORA, TX – An unidentified driver crashed his truck Monday night on US 277 while hauling a trailer near Sonora.

According to the Sutton County Sheriff's Office, on Nov. 16 at around midnight, deputies with the SCSO were dispatched to six miles north of Sonora on Hwy 277 for the report of a major crash.

When they arrived, the deputies discovered a Chevy Avalanche, that had been pulling a trailer, crashed on the side of the highway.

At one point in the crash the trailer became detached and continued off the side of the road.

It is unknown if there were any injuries as the driver fled the scene.
