SAN ANGELO – Temperatures across West Central Texas are forecast to dip close to the freezing mark early Saturday morning after a cold front blew through the region Friday.
Temperatures Friday afternoon in the mid 60s to mid 70s will drop to the mid 30s overnight. Gusty north winds at 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts will diminish during the overnight hours to become calm.
Low lying areas in rural parts of West Central Texas will see temperatures briefly drop to below freezing. Temperatures in urban areas like San Angelo will remain in the mid to upper 30s above the freezing mark.
Dry conditions with above average temperatures are expected for all of next week.
The average first freeze in the Concho Valley is Nov. 10.
