San Angelo ISD will hold its 8th annual Texas Research Institute for Young Scholars (TRIYS) finals competition on Thursday, March 12, 2015. The event will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the board room of the SAISD Administration Building.
In all, 263 Gifted and Talented students in 1st through 5th grades have prepared group projects that were judged during campus preliminary rounds on Monday, March 9. About 24 groups advanced to the finals March 12. The results will be announced at 5:45 p.m. that day in an Award Ceremony to be held at Holy Angels Church.
All students who successfully compete will receive gold, silver, or bronze Medals of Excellence at this ceremony and will be invited to participate in a Fun Day Adventure on Friday, March 13.
The public is invited to attend the finals on March 12 at 5:45 p.m. at Holy Angels Church.
