Angelo State University Reveals Few Details on Vice President's Sudden Resignation

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The Longtime Vice President of Student Affairs at Angelo State University has officially resigned.

"On Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, Dr. Javier Flores submitted his resignation as vice president for student affairs at Angelo State University. He served in this capacity since coming to ASU in July of 2012," stated a release from ASU. "The search for a replacement will begin immediately. In the meantime, Dr. Clifton Jones will serve as interim vice president for student affairs."

Angelo State did not give a reason for his sudden departure.

Dr. Flores was named VP of Student Affairs in 2012. He is a Concho Vally native who was born in Sonora.
