AUSTIN, TX – On Monday, 14 Republican members of the Texas Senate announced their endorsement of fellow GOP Senator Dr. Dawn Buckingham (R-Lakeway) in her campaign for Texas Land Commissioner.
Senator Charles Perry of Lubbock who represents San Angelo was one of those Senators.
“Working in the Texas Senate and serving the people of Senate District 24 has been one of the great honors of my lifetime,” said Buckingham. “During the 87th Texas Legislature, my colleagues and I worked together to usher in one of the most successful conservative sessions in Texas history, including passing constitutional carry, enacting landmark election integrity reforms, banning the teaching of Critical Race Theory in our schools, stopping liberal cities like Austin from defunding the police, and passing the Texas Heartbeat Protection Act – the strongest pro-life law in the nation.
“While my time in the Texas Senate has come to an end, I’m honored to have the support of my fellow senators as I embark on the journey to serve as our next Texas Land Commissioner.”
