SAN ANGELO, TX – The newly opened family owned pharmacy on Sherwood Way, Angelo Pharmacy, hosted its grand opening on Thursday afternoon.
Krishna Vukoti and his family moved to San Angelo in 2016. He has been a pharmacist here in town at Shannon Pharmacy and CVS.
After years of working for corporations, Vukoti decided to open his own pharmacy. He promises the lowest prices in town, no wait lines, and the friendliest service.
During the ceremony, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce's President Walt Koenig, San Angelo City Councilman Harry Thomas, and San Angelo's Mayor Brenda Gunter spoke and congratulated the family on their newly opened business.
Another interesting piece to the ribbon cutting was Vukoti's son, Akash Vukoti. Akash Vukoti is an American spelling child prodigy and TV personality from San Angelo, Texas. He was the first-ever first grader to qualify for and compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, and first appeared in the NBC TV show Little Big Shots in March 2016.
Akash helped his father with hosting the ceremony. Check out the video below to see the entertaining speech.
Angelo Pharmacy is open Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are located at 2910 Sherwood Way between Pizza Hut and Heff's Burgers.
