WALL, TX – St. Ambrose and the Holy Family Catholic Church is hosting the 82nd Wall Fall Festival this weekend in Wall and everyone is welcome to attend.
The annual event is popular with San Angelo residents and the noon meal serves an estimated 5,000 in a short three hours. Area dignitaries normally make the short trek to the small farming community in eastern Tom Green County to visit with friends and neighbors.
The meal this year as in years past consists of a full turkey, dressing, and sausage dinner including cranberries, coleslaw, potatoes, green beans, gravy, and tea with desserts. All that food for $10.00 a plate for adults and $5.00 a plate for children.
The meal will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and sausage sandwiches go on sale at 3:00 p.m. There will also be a full concession stand that will serve adult beverages and Bahama Bucks ice drinks. Also at the festival will be a s'mores booth.
Farm Ale Brewing out of Eola, Texas will be at the German Soda Booth. You'll also be able to buy baked and canned good from the Country Store and vegetables and plants from the Farmer's Market.
To help people move around, a shuttle bus will run from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from Wall High School.
The cotton auction will begin at 1:15 p.m. and a full auction will also take place about 2:00 p.m.
Fun activities will also take place. Bingo will be played from noon to 4:00 p.m.
This year a cornhole tournament will take place for high school kids grades 9-12. You can register for the cornhole tournament by clicking HERE. The 1st place prize for winning at cornhole is $200.00, with 2nd and 3rdplace winning $150.00 and $100.00 respectively.
