POLL: San Angelo Mayoral Race Heats Up

Candidates for two San Angelo City Council seats drew for placement on the May 9 ballot Wednesday morning at City Hall. The drawings were for the mayoral and District 4 races. The candidates’ names will appear on the ballot in the following order:

• Mayor:

1. David Nowlin
2. Dwain R. Morrison

• SMD 4:

1. Andrew Justis
2. Lucy Gonzales

District 2 Councilman Marty Self and District 6 Councilwoman Charlotte Farmer are unopposed in their re-election bids for an additional two-year term.

Voters can determine in which City Council district they live by clicking the GIS map viewer at cosatx.us/council. Voters must be registered to vote by April 9 to be eligible to cast a ballot in the May 9 election. Voter registration information can be found at votetomgreencounty.org.

Early voting begins April 27.
