SAN ANGELO, TX- A San Angelo man was arrested Tuesday after a child came forward in school with allegations of sexual abuse.
According to court documents, San Angelo Police Department investigators were contacted by the San Angelo ISD and were advised about information they had received from a school counselor that a student had allegedly been sexually assaulted.
In the counselor’s sworn statement, the victim had a handwritten note alleging Ramos had sexually assaulted them. Investigators witnessed a forensic interview of the victim who stated on April 15, 2020, Ramos used his mouth to contact the child’s sexual organ.
When Ramos was being interviewed, he stated that on April 15, 2020, he did begin abusing the child victim using his mouth to contact the child’s sexual organ. Ramos stated that he assaulted the victim twice a month, every month with the last assault occurring on September 30, 2021.
Ramos was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on Oct. 5, 2021 and is currently being held without bond.
