Cold Weather Slows Jail Bookings, Marijuana Leads Charges

 

Only 16 inmates were booked into the Tom Green County Jail on Thursday, six of which were booked on charges stemming from offenses committed that day. Among them were four jailed for marijuana possession, one jailed for assault, and one jailed for marijuana and theft. 

An additional 10 individuals were booked on warrants or commitments pertaining to various charges including DWI, evading arrest, theft and sex offender's duty to register. 

Sixteen individuals were released from jail on Thursday.
