WATCH: San Angelo Businessman First to Announce Bid for Tom Green County Judge

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo business owner Todd Kolls Wednesday announced his bid for Tom Green County Judge in the 2022 Republican Primary in the lobby of the Cactus Hotel surrounded by his family and dozens of supporters.

Kolls owns Kolls Diamond and Design in the Cactus Hotel.  He had announced his candidacy earlier this summer for Pct. 4 Tom Green County Commissioner but after much prayer and encouragement decided to run for the wide open County Judge seat.

Watch Todd Kolls make his announcement Wednesday surrounded by his wife and children below:

Long time County Judge Steve Floyd announced a year ago he was not seeking re-election.

Kolls is the first of several people who are rumored to be considering a run for judge.

Kolls currently serves as the President of the city of San Angelo Development Corporation. He is also a director and board member for the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association and serves on its Premium Sale Committee.

Kolls has served on the board of directors for Angelo Civic Theatre, the Better Business Bureau, YMCA, and Helping Hands.

The Republican Primary election is set for the spring of 2022.  The exact date depends on the Texas Legislature completing redistricting following the 2020 census.
