SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for the Concho Valley including the city of San Angelo for Sunday morning.
The Advisory is for Southwestern Coke County, Northeastern Irion County, Southeastern Sterling County and Northeastern Tom Green County.
The advisory is in effect until 9:45 a.m. At 6:37 a.m. doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms. Radar estimates that 1 to 2 inches has fallen in the past hour across northwest Tom Green County, with heavy rain now moving into the city of San Angelo.
This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include San Angelo, San Angelo State Park, Grape Creek, O.c. Fisher Reservoir, Carlsbad, Lake Nasworthy, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Water Valley, Harriet, Wall, Veribest, Broome, Mereta and Us-87 Near The Coke-Tom Green County Line.
