SAN ANGELO, TX – Dozens of BBQ aficionados gathered at Lake Nasworthy Saturday for the 2nd-ish annual First Responders BBQ Cook-off to recognize and honor police, sheriff's deputies, firefighters and all area first responders.
The traditional BBQ cook-off included jalapeño poppers, chicken, ribs, brisket and a kids Q competition.

The inaugural First Responders BBQ Cook-off was held in 2019 and then was canceled because of the pandemic in 2020 so Saturday's Cook-off is the second competition in three years.
The competition was held at the end of Spillway Rd. along the Twin Buttes Dam on the banks of Lake Nasworthy.
Results will be published when they become available.
