COVID-19 Infections and Hospitalizations Rise Over the Weekend

SAN ANGELO, TX – According to the daily COVID-19 report published by the City of San Angelo's communications department, on Aug. 9, throughout the past weekend the city's health department reported another 202 COVID-19 infections.

This brings the current active infections to 971. Of the 971 active cases 55 of the patients are hospitalized because of their symptoms.

The following is the complete breakdown of cases from the weekend of Aug. 7-9:

• Active cases: 971
• Currently hospitalized: 55
• New positives for today: 66

August 8, 2021 COVID-19 report

• Total positive cases: 18,667
• Active cases: 910
• Currently hospitalized: 49
• New positives for today: 65

• Total positive cases: 18,602
• Active cases: 857
• Currently hospitalized: 53
• New positives for today: 71
