Abilene Offers Employees 40 Hours Vacation Time to get Vaccinated

ABILENE,TX – Abilene is offering 40 hours of vacation time to city employees who get vaccinated for Covid-19.

Abilene City Manager Robert Hanna sent out a memo to city employees that said if they got vaccinated, the employee would get 40 hours of vacation time.

To be eligible for the vacation time, employees must have their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine before August 9th.

Abilene isn’t the only place to offer incentives to get vaccinated. California has offered cash lotteries, up to $1.5 million, to individuals who get vaccinated. Businesses have also offered incentives as well which include bonuses on paychecks.

Although Abilene is offering this incentive, if you’ve already been vaccinated, you are not eligible for the vacation time.
