SAN ANGELO,TX – David Everett Jasso has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in June for committing a violent robbery.
According to court documents, the victim was asked to go to the San Angelo Lodge, located at 1717 West Beauregard Avenue to run errands with a friend.
Once at the San Angelo Lodge, the victim entered an apartment and two suspects came out of the back room, one of them being David Jasso. Jasso and the other suspect demanded the victim take all of his property out of his pockets and lay everything on the bed. The suspects started going through the victim’s property including his phone and wallet, which the suspects kept.
Jasso forced the victim to go with him to World Finance, located at 119 West Twohig Avenue, to take out a $500 loan from the business and threatened the victim of physical injury if he refused.
The victim entered the business and told the employee what occurred and the employee called the police. Jasso then entered and sat behind the victim.
The employee played along for safety sake and asked the victim for his drivers license and his social security card. She could not perform the action requested without it so the victim told this to Jasso.
Jasso handed the victim his social security card then two officers with the San Angelo Police Department arrived and detained Jasso from leaving.
David Jasso was booked into the TGCDF on April 23, 2021 and is still currently an inmate being held on $40,000.00 bond.
