San Angelo Man Indicted for Lewd Assault of a Child

 

SAN ANGELO,TX- Cory Clearman has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in June for sexually assaulting a child.

According to court documents, San Angelo investigators spoke with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office in regards to a 14-year-old girl who was taken by Clearman from the child’s residence without permission.

The detective with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office performed a forensic interview with the child victim on April 9th, 2021 . The minor child said that Clearman penetrated the child’s sexual organ with his sexual organ while in San Angelo.

San Angelo investigators viewed a video recording of this forensic interview and the victim also stated that Clearman picked her up in Oklahoma and brought her across state lines into Texas and took her to his residence in San Angelo.

Clearman spoke with investigators and stated that he knew the child was 14 years old and admitted to sexually assaulting the child on April 5th, 2021.

Cory Clearman was booked into the TGCDF on 5/24/2021 with a $35,000.00 bond. Clearman is still an inmate in Tom Green County.
