Suspect Arrested After Back-to-Back Robberies

 

ABILENE, TX – A 21-year-old suspect is behind bars after he allegedly committed two aggravated robberies back to back.

According to the Abilene Police Department, Mario Martinez Carrillo Jr. demanded money from clerks at two different convenience stores while wielding a handgun. According to APD, the incidents happened between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities apprehended Carrillo at a home on the 900 block of San Jose Dr. in northern Abilene.

Carrillo faces charges of Aggravated Robbery, a first-degree felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon,  a third-degree felony. He also had and two outstanding warrants for aggravated assault and theft.

Carrilo is being held at the Taylor County Jail and his bond was set at $105,000.
