Baseball Coach Resigns Amid Allegations of an Inappropriate Relationship

BRECKENRIDGE, TX- A Breckenridge ISD coach is under investigation for having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

Kevin Bartley, a baseball coach and biology teacher, has resigned and the investigation continues after Bartley had “improper electronic communications” with a student.

No criminal charges have been filed but Bartley’s involvement has been confirmed in the investigation.

Bryan Allen, the superintendent for Breckenridge, said the parents of the student have been notified but the district cannot provide any further information on the subject. Allen also said the safety of the students remains the top priority.

The school district has been fully cooperating with the investigation.
