One of San Angelo's most wanted convicts was picked up on Sunday, after an officer received a tip on her whereabouts.
Michelle Lenee Perez, 31, was located at a residence in the 1500 block of Bryan St. and was taken into custody without incident. While she was being handcuffed, Perez told the officer she was suffering from a previous injury.
Perez was transported to the Tom Green County Jail, but jail staff advised she needed to be cleared by medical staff. Perez was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation, and once cleared by medical staff, taken back to the Tom Green County Jail where she was booked on her outstanding warrants.
Police put out a wanted bulletin on Perez last week, that garnered swarms of attention locally. She was wanted for felony theft of property <$1,500 with two or more previous convictions, four capias pro fine warrants and one failure to appear warrant. She was booked at 11:53 p.m. by the SAPD.
A bond of $482 has been set for the failure to appear charge, a $7,500 bond has been set for the theft charge and no bond has been set for the four CPF warrants.
