ODESSA,TX – MacKenzie Scott, ex-wife of Jeff Bezos, named Odessa College as one of many other schools to receive a large donation.
Scott is donating $7 million to Odessa College, the largest donation ever in the school’s history.
“The possibilities are endless, and we look forward to providing our stakeholders with updates regarding the fund’s use and impact. Odessa College is extremely grateful for the generosity of Ms. MacKenzie Scott, and humbly accepts this extraordinary gift on behalf of both the students and the community that we serve.” President of Odessa College, Dr. Gregory D. Williams said.
Scott said on Tuesday that she had donated $2.7 billion to almost 300 different organizations.
In less than a year, Scott has donated $8.5 billion.
