Midland County Issues Disaster Declaration Over Illegal Alien Invasion

MIDLAND, TX -- On Wednesday, Midland County Judge Terry Johnson issued a disaster declaration in response to the border crisis.

"The health, life, and property of the residents of Midland County is under an imminent threat of disaster from the human trafficking occurring on our border with Mexico," the declaration states.

According to Judge Johnson, the "ongoing border crisis has resulted in thousands of immigrants invading Midland County and overwhelming our local, state, and federal enforcement."

The declaration also says the influx of migrants elevates the risk of Midlanders to unknown variants of COVID-19.

According to DSHS, only 35% of Midland residents 12 and older have been fully vaccinated.

"The limited resources of Midland County cannot adequately furnish the necessary procedures and facilities set forth by
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the testing and quarantining of thousands of immigrants who may be infected with unknown variants of COVID-19, or other infectious
diseases that residents have not been vaccinated," the declaration concludes.

The disaster declaration will remain in effect until further notice.
