SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Texas Trust Credit Union announced Monday it will be taking over the abandoned Bank of America building on W. Twohig Ave.
According to Texas Trust, the building will be undergoing a full remodel of the building inside and out. The 3,094-square-foot building will provide nearly 50 percent more space than the San Angelo Main Street branch.
The new location will offer free-standing universal teller stations in order to allow members to conduct all financial businesses with a single teller. Members will also have access to a self-serve station to review transaction histories, print statements, and check their balance. An express teller option will also be open for simple transactions.
“When Bank of America decided to leave the San Angelo Market, we happily stepped in to help people build brighter financial futures,” said Jim Minge, CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. “We have a long history here and continue to see this community as a great place to invest and grow. We guarantee that our members will be impressed with our new Twohig branch.”
According to the $1.6 billion credit union, the new branch will offer checking and deposit services, mortgages for new homes or refinancing, loans for cars and recreational vehicles, low-interest credit cards, insurance, and investment services, and more.
The new branch is expected to open later this year.
