SAN ANGELO, TX – The construction of Texas Burger is nearly complete as signs are being placed throughout the property.
As previously reported, on Sep. 30, 2020, Texas Burger announced that it will be opening up a restaurant on one of San Angelo’s busiest streets, Knickerbocker Rd. For the original story see: Is Chickenbocker Becoming Burgerbocker?
The business broke ground, laid the foundation, and had the walls put up by the end of Jan. 2021.
Now the project is nearly complete as crews have finished the exterior and are working on the inside. On May 25 sign professionals were on location installing drive thru and welcome signs.
It is unclear when the burger joint will open but with the pace the workers are making fans can ensure it will be sooner rather than later.
Texas Burger will be located at 1502 Knickerbocker right next to Rosa's Cafe.
Texas Burger was started in the Permian Basin in the 1960s by Bobby D. Cox. He purchased the first Texas Burger after operating Danny’s Drive-In #2 in Odessa. He still owns the business today.
"Since 1967, we’ve been satisfying hungry West Texans with the most mouthwatering all-Angus hamburgers you’ve ever tasted. And each Texas Burger is topped off with our signature cherry pepper. Give us a try and go home happy!" states the Texas Burgers website.
Owners of Texas Burger also own Rosa's Cafe and Taco Villa restaurants.
