NWS: Heavy Rain Possible in San Angelo Wednesday Afternoon

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Thunderstorms with heavy rain are likely Wednesday afternoon in the San Angelo area. 

According to the National Weather Service office in San Angelo, there is an 80 percent chance of thunderstorms between 3 pm. and 7 p.m. in the Concho Valley.  Pockets of heavy rain in the scattered thunderstorms can cause flash flooding especially in San Angelo.  

The scattered storm system could also contain high winds and dangerous lightning. 

The storms are predicted to move quickly out of the area in the late afternoon and early evening hours. 

The forecast calls for clear and sunny conditions through Saturday with rain chances returning to the Concho Valley Sunday and Monday.
