A 23-year-old suspected of dealing methamphetamine and marijuana was locked up in the county jail on Tuesday, after detectives with the TxDPS located drugs and firearms within his residence.
Michael Dominique Garcia has been charged with a third-degree marijuana possession, first-degree meth possession, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to an arrest affidavit completed by detective John Cox of the TxDPS, investigators executed a search warrant on Garcia’s residence in the 200 block of W. 19th St. on Jan 27 and located 38 grams of meth inside a small safe in his bedroom. Detectives also found two handguns, a Taurus .38 Special and a Jimenez .380 caliber pistol, as well as a black backpack filled with six pounds of marijuana.
That afternoon, Garcia was booked into the county jail by the SAPD and DPS at just after 3 p.m. The SAPD also booked him on possession of marijuana <2 ounces, and driving while license invalid.
He is currently being held in lieu of a total of $111,734 in surety bonds.
