SAN ANGELO, TX -- Early voting for the upcoming local election will officially kick off on Monday, April 19th, and continue until April 27th. This year's election is for the council members that will represent SMD 2, SMD 4, SMD 6, and San Angelo Mayor.
Early voting will take place at the Edd B. and Frances Frink Keyes Building, located at 113 W. Beauregard Ave., during the following times:
- April 19 thru 23 - (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
- April 24 - (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
- April 25 - (12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
- April 26 and 27 - (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
Voters wishing to vote by mail will be required to submit an application to the Election Office. Applications are only valid for a calendar year and need to be resubmitted each year.
The deadline to apply for the May 1 election is April 20th and the application must be received by the office by that date. Voters are reminded they are able to deliver a voted ballot by mail to the election office for counting only on Election Day. It must be the voter themselves surrendering the ballot and they must show a photo ID.
