San Angelo Man Indicted for Assaulting a Pregnant Woman

SAN ANGELO,TX- Cody Calvin Adams has been indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in March 2021 for assaulting a pregnant woman.

San Angelo police were dispatched to the Walgreen’s Pharmacy and met with the pregnant woman who claimed the night before they had been assaulted.

Adams threw the victim on the bed and placed his hands around their neck and started to choke her. After the assault, Adams threw the victim’s phone and did not allow her to call the police.

The victim was able to get Adams to drive them both to Walgreen’s and Adams started making suicidal statements. At the pharmacy, the victim had a friend call 911.

Once police arrived and talked to Adams, he told them the victim was pregnant, about 9 weeks. The police noticed the victim was fearful of Adams who ignored SAPD’s attempt to mirandize him. 

San Angelo Police place Cody Adams under arrest noting probable cause he assaulted the victim.

Cody Calvin Adams was booked on February 1st, 2021 and posted a $35,000.00 bond on February 6th. He cannot have contact with the victim.
