CHRISTOVAL, TX – Thanks to an anonymous donor Christoval ISD was able to build a brand new multipurpose gymnasium that opened it's doors on Thursday afternoon.
The $3 million anonymous donation also paid for air conditioning in school gyms and improvements to the aging elementary campus.
"So many lives will be impacted for years to come because of this donation," said School Board Trustee Shawn Nanny. "That person is a hero to me"
To celebrate the opening of the gym the incoming sixth grade class did a balloon release.
The ribbon cutting included representatives from Rep. Pfluger, Sen. Perry and Rep. Darby's Office, School Board Trustee's and Student Body representatives.

The $3 million donation also helped the school district update bathrooms in the Elementary, update air conditioning in both campuses and both gyms.
