SAN ANGELO, TX — On March 31, 2021 at 7 p.m., San Angelo LIVE! inaugurates a unique LIVE! Stream video show about the economic opportunities in San Angelo, Texas.
The long format show will feature interviews with interesting and key leaders of the industries that make the San Angelo economic engine thrive.
This area stands to gain from the post-Covid environment. Even before last March, this area enjoyed advantages over metro Texas. Less traffic, a thriving arts community, a reimagined downtown, an ample and diversified water supply, diversified public and private sector economic engines, a mid-sized university, good medical facilities, a few rivers and lakes, and an excellent telecommunications and data infrastructure.

Now to add to that, we weren’t crammed into urban lofts with Covid hit and are now on the fast track to recovery, likely faster than metro Texas.
Our citizens are generally conservative and demand good government with low tax rates. This translates into excellent schools when compared to metro area school districts. An added bonus is there is a de facto school choice system here. If a San Angelo parent decides to send their child to an outlying, though rural, community for high school, there is a mechanism in place to do this, for example.
Add all of this to San Angelo’s location on the eastern edge and within commuting distance of the Permian and Delaware Basins. With $65/barrel oil today and predictions of a higher price soon, the ingredients are here, right in front of us, for a post-Covid Boomtown San Angelo.
The March 31 LIVE! Stream is a chance to tell the state and the rest of the nation about the opportunities here. Our “live over the internet” broadcast system reaches tens of thousands of people. Our previous show on Valentine’s Day (about Valentine’s date night) was the #1 Facebook post in Texas of all media outlets in the state for about 12 hours while and after it aired.

With the Boomtown San Angelo LIVE! Stream, it is our attempt to dominate the socials again, but this time, promote the “San Angelo opportunity.” We will do this by:

- After the show, we will post the more interesting moments as separate video segments on the socials.
