Due to a warning from the National Weather Service in San Angelo of hazardous driving conditions predicted from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 30 through morning on Jan. 1, Tom Green County offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
Due to the approved holidays of Jan. 1 and 2, offices will be closed until Monday, Jan. 5 at 8 a.m.
City Offices Closed Tomorrow
City of San Angelo offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 31, because of the threat of dangerous road conditions.
City Manager Daniel Valenzuela decided late Tuesday afternoon to close City operations after consulting with Emergency Management Coordinator Steve Mild, County Judge Steve Floyd and Mayor Dwain Morrison. Mild has been in contact throughout the day with National Weather Service forecasters, who are predicting precipitation and sub-freezing temperatures tonight and into Wednesday morning.
City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, following the New Year’s Day holiday.
Mathis Field (KSJT) is closed until further notice.
There will be no citywide trash pickup on Wednesday.
Church Services
Trinity Lutheran Church New Year's Eve Service is cancelled. (The service was to be held tomorrow, Wednesday, at 7 p.m.)
Due to inclement weather, the 12:10 p.m. daily Mass scheduled for Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Sacred Heart Cathedral has been cancelled.
Freedom Fellowship Church has canceled their New Year's Eve service.
The Diocese of San Angelo Pastoral Center, 804 Ford Street, San Angelo, will be closed Wednesday due to hazardous road and weather conditions in San Angelo. Weather permitting, the Pastoral Center will re-open Friday, January 2, 2015.
Trinity Lutheran Church has cancelled their 7 p.m. New Years Eve service.
Other Closings
MHMR will be closed all day on New Year's Eve.
Tom Green County Libraries will be closed until Saturday due to weather and holidays.
The Tom Green County Appraisal District will be closed.
Sitel will be operating on a two-hour delayed start for all associates scheduled prior to 10 a.m.
Goodfellow AFB will be closed and activities cancelled for all non-essential personnel.
YMCA opens at 10 a.m.
Southwest Children's Academy closed.
Pumpkin Patch Preschool closed Wednesday.
First Community Federal Credit Union will delay opening of their offices until 9:00 a.m.
West Texas Boys Ranch and Sonrisas Therapeutic Riding Program are both closed Wednesday.
Southwest Children's Academy is closed.
The United Way of the Concho Valley will be closed Wednesday.
Sonora Bank will open the lobby and the drive thru at noon.
Catfish Corner will be closed.
West Texas Medical Associates will close December 31st due to the icy road conditions.
Grace Temple Child Development Center will be closed today due to weather.
Meals For The Elderly will be closed Dec. 31 and no routes will be delivered. They will not open again until Monday, January 5th.
