LUBBOCK, TX – The day has finally come where Texas has decided to move forward from COVID-19 as Gov. Greg Abbott announced Tuesday that he will be putting an end to the majority of state COVID-19 restrictions including the mask mandate.
According to Abbott, on Mar. 2 during a press conference in Lubbock, Texas will be reopening everything 100 percent starting Wednesday, Mar. 10.
This means any business in the State of Texas that has COVID-19 restrictions being placed on them, such as bars and restaurants, will be open their doors fully.
"Anyone that wants to work should be able to go back to work," said Abbott. "It is time to open Texas back up 100 percent."
Also Abbott has removed the state mask mandate.
Abbott claims that these changes aren't because COVID-19 has gone away but instead Texans have learned to "master" the COVID-19 precautions.
This announcement is coming on a day where Texans had the lowest positivity rate in months. In San Angelo for the past week new daily cases have been minimal.

This from Abbott, who couldn't manage a power outage due to a winter storm! Oh well, most of the people of San Angelo never followed the precautions anyway. I guess if you didn't get the vaccine you're just SOL! This should make old Hyde happy, except now he can't complain about the bars being closed, but at least it will give him more time to spend on sucking up to Augie Dawgie Pfluger.

PermalinkI am a Republican Texan and I will continue to wear my mask in certain settings until more fellow Texans and San Angeloans get vaccinated.
Each person can make their own decisions on masks and just because someone exercises their right to choose as they please does not mean they are "woke" whatever the F that really means, or a Democrat. That comment is insulting to Texans as a whole.
