SAN ANGELO, TX – The winter storm in West Central Texas continues for one more day as meteorologists with the National Weather Service office in San Angelo expect up to three more inches of snow before the system clears out and temperatures rise above freezing Friday.
The NWS has issues a Winter Weather Advisory from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday.
The forecast calls for a 30% chance of snow between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday with temperatures rising to 30 degrees. Two to four additional inches could fall on the area. Wind chill values will be between 3 and 13 degrees.
The primary threat will be hazardous driving conditions.
The weather starts to warm up on Friday with clear skies and a high around 50 degrees with 60s on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with 74 degrees forecast for the high temperature Tuesday.
