Texas High School Football Coach Hired by NFL Team

HOUSTON, TX- Houston Strake Jesuit High School's head football coach is heading to the NFL.

Klay Kubiak has been hired as a defensive quality control analyst for the San Francisco 49ers.

The past three seasons, Kubiak was 24-11 at Strake Jesuit. Kubiak is the only coach in Strake Jesuit history to win double digit games. Strake Jesuit was 4-6 in 2020.

Kyle Shanahan, the current San Francisco 49er coach, worked with Gary Kubiak who is Klay’s father. Gary Kubiak is a former NFL head coach leading the Houston Texans(2006-2013) and Denver Broncos (2015-2017).
